A proud mother named Amrit Bai who lived upto 100 years gave birth to a great son Ch. Bhagwan Dass. Ch. Bhagwan Dass took birth in the family of respected father Late Ch. Ram Ditta Mal in village Nikyan Teh. & Distt. Jhang (now in Pakistan). He took birth with a silver spoon. He passed Matriculation Examination from George Vth carnation Hindu High School, Jhang with flying Colours.
He joined as manager in Delhi cloth Mills and served at Jhang and Bhatinda. He was at Bhatinda at the time of partition of the country. He had taken active part in freedom Movement even during student days and even after joining service. He had to leave service to look after the people who had migrated from different parts, now called Pakistan.
His ancestor had a big farm in Distt. Sriganganagar in Chak 30 B.B. and 28 B.B. So he settled in village(known as chak) 30 B.B and was most respected farmer of district sriganganagar (Rajasthan). He changed desert into fertile land by hard work and by adopting latest technique of farming.
Agriculture Land was also allotted to his family in village Nigana Teh. & Distt. Rohtak in lieu of the land left in district Jhang (now in Pakistan) and so he shifted from Sri ganaganagar to district Rohtak and settled in village Nigana. He was a leading personality of Punjab and took keen interest in politics also. He was associated with many religious and social institutions. He was elected Sarpanch of village Nigana and block samiti,vice chairman. He was widely travelled person. The selfless work done by him made him immensely popular among the masses. He was called Gariba Belli i.e “Friend of the” downtrodden people. He was a devoted Sanatani and disciple of great saint of the century Swami Amar Dev Ji Maharaj.
He was Sanatani by birth. Mentally he used to be either at Vrindavan Dham District Mathura or at Panchtirthi (Situated at Thana Bhavan (U.P). He left behind five sons, two daughters and a karamsheel wife and thousands of admires and well wishers. He had great love for education and desired that all the children should get the best education. So this society was constituted in the name of late great son of the Soil Ch. Bhagwan Dass, decided to run the school at Kalanaur in the name of late great Saint of the century Brahmleen Swami Amar Dev Ji Maharaj. He left this world on 21.8.83. Society salute the bold and the fearless personality of joint Punjab.
